*Review from an expert:
"The workbooks demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching clear, descriptive writing. The exercises are comprehensive, precise and varied enough to challenge young students in the best way possible. I appreciate how the exercises teach students to give the choice and placement of each written word careful consideration, while also promoting creative thought. Creativity and clarity don't always go hand in hand, but these workbooks encourage students to strike that delicate balance in a fun and effective manner! I also liked the practical online researching tips contained in the second workbook, including the sections on verifying information (no fake news!) and avoiding plagiarism. Very current and apropos. Overall, these workbooks have many valuable lessons to offer!" -Ann, Lawyer and Mother

This workbook allows students to choose a stance on a debatable topic and then write a 5-paragraph essay using pre-selected, reliable reference sources. In each chapter, students will review a grammar lesson such as verb tense, compound & complex sentences, and relative clauses.
